I’m so honored to have some really great loving humans at the clinic.  You can be sure any one of us you schedule with has passion and enthusiasm for this work, are knowledgeable practitioners in their own right, and are sure to entertain and delight you with the fascination of integrative health and wellness.

In much appreciation,

Meet Cindy

I have been providing Gravity hygiene to clients and friends in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 9 years. I have started one of the first detox “spas” in the East Bay nearly a decade before. I have since simplified my practice so that I can provide more deep and profound sessions with clients instead of running a large scale business. I endeavor to understand your concerns and help formulate a plan around helping you eliminate issues.

While I have studied many psychological issues regarding the gut-brain connection, I am not a licensed therapist. I employ a variety of methods to help people understand mind-gut issues that prevent proper elimination, opening the physical, emotional and spiritual obstructions.

My journey began nearly 15 years ago when my son received a vaccination during a double-blind study program, which I naively agreed to, that made him quite ill. During that time, I watched my son’s health decline, over-dosed with antibiotics, weak, yeasted, at the doctors at least once a week, which lead to 4 surgeries and an adnoidectomy “just in case” it might be a problem. Frustrated and fed-up, I sought the help of Dr. Greene, who helped me formulate a plan to use nutrition to boost a very weak immune system. As an interesting side effect, I also learned alot about the medical industry and standing up for children’s health rights. I eventually went on to work with Dr. Greene as a Children’s Health Producer for his award-winning website back in 1999.

Fast forward 7 years, I am told during a routine mammogram that I had a “suspicious dark shadow” (i.e., breast cancer). Having already experienced a profound awakening since my son’s illness, I trust in the body’s ability to heal myself instead of using medical intervention. Through a detoxification plan that consisted of colon cleansing, dietary change, exercise and more plant-based diet, six months later, no more tumors/cancer.

I have had the opportunity to heal myself from adrenal fatigue, fibroid tumors and gallbladder disease, all with the use of colon therapy, dietary practices, along with spiritual pursuits. This has created a passion for knowledge, which lead me to Hygiene Movement of the early 1900′s. Philosophers, doctors and other intellectuals had discovered all these things I too have discovered and shared them with their friends, family and community to eliminate human suffering. then in the 1920′s the AMA made healing without a medical license a crime, which is now our current state of “health care” which is really “disease care.” When I committed to creating the Hygiene Institute, it was in hopes of reviving the Hygiene Movement to the Healing Arts movement of today.

I often hold training seminars to teach people how to eliminate symptoms, how to self-care, how to listen to the body to give it what it needs. It’s not always an easy path, but a worthy path to follow while spinning on this rock in space. :) It is my hope that you will walk away educated and slightly enlightened about your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body and that you will make health your hobby so you can avoid the “disease” care industry.

Meet Jill

I had always considered myself a ‘healthy’ eater.
I did the usual things: I attempted to eat in moderation and limit my calorie intake. I kinda knew how much salt and saturated fat I was consuming. I tried to curb my sugary temptations… and, I persuaded myself into thinking I got my 5-a-day, everyday.

In hindsight… not so much.
My journey toward a truly honest relationship with food, and myself, began a few years ago. Like any good story, it started with a crisis: I was having major digestive issues. As many people would, my first instinct was to visit as many medical doctors as necessary until one of them prescribed medication to alleviate my symptoms.

I suffered through months of a vicious cycle that included misdiagnoses and medication that simply masked my underlying issue. Not one doctor or prescription successfully healed me.

the meantime, I was juggling a full-time job while also working to attain my MBA. The stress of my work-load sent me reeling back to my doctor, who prescribed more medication. This time, it was in the form of anxiety and sleeping pills, and again, was not the solution.

That’s when I had my ‘A-Ha’ moment.

If expert doctors and medicine couldn’t fix me, who could I rely on? So it hit me: this is my life and my life alone. I knew myself better than I thought I did… so now was the time to trust myself. With the right motivation, I knew I could find the tools and knowledge to heal myself.

So I began doing my own research. The more I found, the more I was convinced that I needed to become much more mindful of what I was (and wasn’t) putting into my body. This is when I began to change the way I ate.

I committed to one small change every day, over a period of weeks and months. I dropped unhealthy habits like too much caffeine and alcohol in favor of restorative behaviors like yoga, meditation, and green juice. Soon, many small steps accumulated into a profound shift in my entire being.

Not only did my digestive and anxiety problems go away, but amazing, unexpected things started happening. I had increased energy, decreased stress, and was sleeping better than ever. I felt lighter and full of life. In a word, I was happy.

And that’s when my passion was born.

My personal journey utterly transformed my life – I was fully engaged in a life of Holistic Health. I knew from that moment on that my mission was to help others find their own path toward this liberating way of life.

But how?

With my awareness in full-swing, I came across the revered Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and it was love at first sight. I knew immediately that enrolling in the Holistic Health Coaching Program was the next step in fulfilling my vision of helping others.

The experience at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition was more fulfilling than I ever imagined, and every single day is confirmation that I’m where I’m supposed to be. I have found, over and over, that the principles and practices of Holistic Health prove to be an empowering and effective way to change your life for the better.

I am a Certified Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Board Certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).  I have completed my Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University. I have also earned my MBA from Baruch College and a BS from the University of Delaware.

I am thrilled to begin sharing my knowledge with others, offering tools and guidance to help you find your own unique path toward Holistic Health.
